The water bill is something I don’t often think about until summer. Once I fire up the sprinklers for the season, and put thousands of gallons of evaporated water back into my pool, and watch the kids leave the hose running for hours on the driveway, and top off the pool for the umpteenth time, I start to get worried about what the next water bill is going to look like.
In the last two years, I’ve also had two leak events in my house that we thankfully stumbled upon early, but both could have easily been discovered by the Flume Smart Home Water Monitor.
This super easy to install device straps to the meter on your water main and connects to the included hub to give you the ultimate in water monitoring capabilities. With an available web interface, iOS and Android apps, and Alexa compatibility, you’ll always be able to keep an eye on your water usage. You can also receive alerts in the event Flume thinks there may be a leak.
Below is a quick unboxing video and my first impressions of the Flume Smart Home Water Monitor, which is currently available on Amazon for $199 (less a $20 coupon where available).
