Smarthome.com, which is the official store of Insteon, normally sells the Insteon hub for $79.99, but for a limited time you can pick one up for $39.99 with coupon code EHUBUP16. Simply add the hub to your cart and apply the coupon code before checking out to apply the $40 savings!
Normally, when the hub alone is priced at $79.99 I recommend purchasing the Insteon Starter Kit from Amazon or Costco for $99.99 because it includes the two LampLinc dimmer modules. Each of those modules normally sells for $29.99. But at $39.99 the hub is more in line with the pricing from the starter kit, and a great standalone purchase if you don’t need the LampLinc modules.
I previously reviewed the Insteon Starter Kit, and most of that review applies to the standalone hub.
Insteon is a rock solid home automation standard, and the hub uses both wireless mesh and powerline communication to make sure your devices always receive signals from the hub. It also integrates with Amazon Echo, Nest and Sonos out of the box with no third party apps required.
